Check out these important items before getting an inspection!

Make sure all utilities are on to the house or building before the inspection to avoid extra trips to the property. Many times Water, Electricity and Gas are shut off by the owner to save money on an unoccupied property. Have the owner make sure all water and gas valves are turned on to all items to be inspected. |

Gas appliances should be turned on, have pilot lights lit and be operating at the time of the inspection. |

Plumbing fixtures should have the water valves turned on before the inspection. |
| For a Radon test, all windows and doors should be closed 24 hours before RHI starts the test. Normal entrance and exit of the house is alright. Heating and A/C systems should be operated normally. The test is left in the house for a minimum of 48 hours. (There is an extra charge for returning to the home to start the test if closed house conditions are not met on the first visit) |
