Highlights of My Experience in the Building Industry:

- 1974 - 1977 Graduated in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration from Pitt Technical Institute and worked as a service, construction and installation mechanic for General Heating Inc.

- 1980 Finished 3 years of Physics at ECU and transferred to NCSU in Engineering.

- Worked as assistant Mall Engineer at Crabtree Valley Mall while attending college.

- 1984 - 1990 Worked as a Licensed Electrical Contractor in my own business. 

- 1991-1996 Opened the High Rise Wake County Public Safety Center, a 58 million dollar building. I set up the Preventative Maintenance Program, wrote (and supervised) the Life Safety Equipment Test and handled the 1-year warranty of the building. This is a State of the Art computer controlled building. 

- Participated in the Construction Inspections of the 5 Story High Rise of the Wake County DSS Building. Was responsible for setting up the Preventative Maintenance Program and the 1-year warranty of the building.

- Managed and supervised maintenance in more than 1,800,000 square feet of Commercial Building Space including the Wake County Courthouse and the Wake County Office Building. 

- 1997-2005 Worked as a NC State Certified Inspector in Building Construction, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Installations.
